Happy Birthday, Florinda Bolkan




This Brazilian actress started her acting career in 1968
and soon became a mainstay in Italian cinema,
while also being involved in a number of international projects.
Three time winner of the Donatella Award (The Italian equivalent of the Academy Awards),
which included a win for her most critically acclaimed role in Elio Petri's
criminal drama Investigation Of A Citizen Above Suspicion (1970).

Best known in the Horror genre for her work with Lucio Fulci in both
Lizard In A Woman's Skin (1971) and Don't Torture A Duckling (1972);
she would also take a most memorable turn in Flavia The Heretic (1974);
as well as starring in the lurid Last House On The Beach (1978).
An incredible talent and noted beauty, she still is acting and has
recently added director to her impressive resume.  She turns 70 today.
